The advent calendar for bag makers...
Day 21 includes a box of small rose gold metal sewing clips with a silicone grip on the inside. These are designed for accuracy and control when sewing bags.
Unlike standard plastic quilting clips, these metal clips are more durable and have a firm hold. The silicone lining grips the fabric securely, which means they do not flick off when you are working around tight corners or thicker layers. This makes them particularly useful for small seam sections, curves and areas where precision really matters.
They are ideal for bag making where you are often working with faux leather, waterproof canvas and multiple layers that pins are not suitable for. Because they stay put, your layers remain aligned, helping you achieve cleaner seams and a more professional finish.
These clips are a genuine game changer. Once you use them, it is hard to go back to plastic clips for detailed work. I was really pleased to be able to source these for the 24 Days of Bag Making as they are one of those tools that quickly become a go-to on the sewing table and I have only previously seen them supplied in the USA so it’s great to offer them here in the UK.
