The advent calendar for bag makers...
The final day of the 24 Days of Bag Making is a special one!@ I wanted to end on a high! Day 24 includes a 30cm or 12 inch roll of faux leather in a beautiful woven look rainbow finish.
This faux leather is designed to make an impact. The woven texture adds depth and interest, while the rainbow colouring ties together the colour story that has run throughout the box. It works brilliantly as a feature panel, flap, pocket or accent piece and instantly lifts a project without overwhelming it.
Faux leather with a woven appearance gives you the look of texture without the complexity of construction. It cuts cleanly, holds its shape and pairs beautifully with the matching webbing, zipper tape and hardware included in earlier days. Used thoughtfully, it becomes a focal point that brings the entire project together.
Including this as the final reveal felt fitting. It is bold, creative and versatile, and it encourages you to take everything from the box and turn it into something you will be proud to use or gift.
And don’t worry if you’ve never used faux leather before – I have lots of tips and tricks for you.
Head over to the first day’s blog post for all my practical tips. Please give faux leather a try – you will love using it I’m sure and it really does give your projects a level up!
With the 24 days of items complete, I hope you have loved discovering what’s inside each day. I aimed to curate a box that inspires your bag making and gives you confidence in your finished creations.
